Setco Milling Head Repair and Rebuild Process

  • Check whether all functions work properly or not and evaluate the milling Head failure mode according to the descriptions from customers.
  • Disassemble the milling head and clean the critical parts.
  • Check/inspect the broken parts and components to find the root cause. We check bearings, gears, encoder, drawbar, springs, seals, sensors, motors, shaft… etc.
  • Analyze and decide which parts need to be changed and reconditioned.
  • Send quotation to customer.
  • Purchase the new components and reverse-engineer or recondition the worn parts.
  • Complete the assembly and restore the milling head functions.
  • Precise balance, vibration, noise, and run-off test to certify the mechanical and electrical functions in specs and make sure the milling head had “Like New” performance to original OEM specifications.
